Spokane International Airport (GEG) — Concourse C Expansion

Located on the eastern border of Washington state, Spokane International Airport (GEG) engaged Chrysalis’s services to operationally prepare the airport authority for its GEG Terminal Renovation and Expansion initiative — or GEG TREX. As part of the project, Chrysalis consultants led the airport’s concourse orientation program; handled stakeholder communications and engagement; created and managed plans for a short-term airline terminal move; and developed phasing plans to ensure operational stability across the years-long construction project. GEG services passengers in both Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, both major cities in two different states. Population growth and major development in the region will drive passenger demand to the area over the coming decades. The GEG TREX initiative will increase passenger capacity, bringing substantial economic development opportunities to the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene region. The airport’s original C Concourse opened in 2000 and included substantial ground-boarding operations, making the snow-filled winter season difficult for the airport. The first phase of the project — which activated in June 2024 — included three gates equipped with passenger boarding bridges. The remainder of the project is scheduled to open in 2025.
