"...communications/direction/timeliness and goals were clearly defined to each entity involved and I believe that's what made it such a success."
Griffin Pipe Products is a large manufacturer of ductile iron pipe.
Griffin was contacted by their largest customer to begin the electronic exchange of purchase orders, purchase order changes, and invoices. At the time, they were not utilizing EDI technology with any of their customers. Chrysalis was selected to provide the project management, business, and application expertise required to design and implement an EDI solution.
Chrysalis resources worked closely with the client to complete a business needs assessment, which served as the foundation to define the organizational and technological needs of the solution. Chrysalis assumed key roles in defining business processes and configuring and testing the business and translator applications. Chrysalis also developed extensive training and support materials to assist in supporting the system.
Since the completion of this project, the client has experienced a significant reduction in the time and cost required to process sales orders and invoices, and, with the assistance of Chrysalis, has leveraged the solution to bring on additional trading partners.
